Being a strong defender of what is Portuguese and authentic, Dirk sees in Moscatel do Douro all the potential of a fortified white, with an unmistakable nose, complexity, acidity and elegance that so much characterize the Niepoort house. Thus, it is in the old muscatel vines, in transitional soils from schist to granite, between 400-500m of altitude, that the best harvests of this 20 Year Old Moscatel originate.
