An intense, deep and very balsamic aroma precedes a mouth full of fruit and freshness. The flavor is very mature and enveloping but vibrant with minerality, everything complements and marries in this red full of character and mountain soul.

Our second red wine knows the world at the end of 2013. It is made from old grape varieties from a very old vineyard, in the Serra de S. Mamede. It faces east, at an altitude of 598 meters and the granite soil was formed in an era when there was no oxygen in our atmosphere. Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Trincadeira lead over 10 other varieties. Many of the vines are stunted. They produce 3 or 4 small bunches of grapes with an absolutely distinct flesh and skin flavor. Everything is different about these plants: appearance, exuberance and fruit. This is the trump card of Serra de S. Mamede wines.
