The 2018 Batuta appears in the glass with a bright ruby color, of medium intensity, characteristic of wines from the year 2018. On the nose it is discreet, young, with notes of blackcurrant and blackberry combined with a mineral component and a light wood . In the mouth it is quite elegant, with a vibrant mid-mouth showing the wood notes well integrated in the acid red fruit, moving towards a long, light and precise aftertaste. Very young, with a reductive profile, Batuta 2018 has great aging potential. Advised decanting one hour in advance.
Batuta is very flexible in combination with meat and fish such as monkfish, squid or roasted octopus.
The Batuta is a wine produced from two old vineyards with different altitudes and aspects. After a rigorous selection process in the vineyard, the grapes are carefully sorted in our cellar before being fermented very gently and with a longer maceration period. All the details were carefully considered in order to produce a complex and elegant fine wine.
