Batuta is very flexible in combination with meat and fish such as monkfish, squid or roasted octopus.
The grapes to produce this wine come from the Carril vineyard, a vineyard over 70 years old facing north, and from old vines with about 100 years old, close to Quinta de Nápoles. Batuta results from a delicate vinification process, with prolonged macerations, but with little extraction where all the details are carefully considered to obtain a complex, fine and elegant wine. AND full of concentration, typical of old Douro vines, but at the same time fresh and delicate.
