Pure red fruit aromas and floral notes of rock rose and Mediterranean bush vegetation. On the palate, defined flavors of wild fruits stand out with some herbaceous notes where fennel punctuates (quite typical in Vesuvio wines).
The brand's latest winemaking project is an example of the versatility and quality that is possible to achieve on the property. Rupert Symington, member of the fourth generation of the family, says that “the name Comboio do Vesuvio pays homage to the trains that have served the Douro line and the Vesuvio railway station itself since the late 19th century”
