Deep ruby color, anticipating an intense wine. Expressive, complex and clean nose. In the foreground, notes of hot spice reminiscent of cinnamon and black pepper, coffee and chocolate, noting the 12-month aging in French oak barrels. Bouquet complemented by aromas of black fruit compote and hints of licorice. In the mouth it is muscular, intense and very gastronomic. Notorious but well-polished tannin, balanced by a surprising acidity, characteristic of the Family Margaça wines and the calcareous soils of Pias. Full-bodied wine, with great structure and high quality. On the palate, fruity aromas of black cherry and plum stand out, which accompany the tasting until its long and very pleasant finish.

Intense, rustic and highly gastronomical, Família Margaça Reserve requires to be appreciated with food. Although it will pair well with red meat, served with strong sauces or just grilled, game dishes of comforting meat stews, we mainly recommend having this wine with oven baked and well-seasoned food. The spiced aromatic component, high tannin and bright acidity makes our Reserva a perfect wine for lamb, so typical of the Alentejo cuisine.
