In 1983, Maria Antónia and João Soares settled with their two children in Albufeira and began the company's activity with the opening of a mini-market that, after a few years, would be restructured, creating the first wine cellar. Responsibility for the growth of the Garrafeira Soares group belongs to the second generation, João and Paulo Soares and daughter-in-law Rita Soares. The company's activity is currently divided into two distinct areas: retail trade with a network of twenty-eight own stores and wholesale sales supported by the sales team. Family management, which has always characterized Garrafeira Soares' operations, has allowed the business to grow sustainably, placing it in a leading position in the sector. Not unrelated to this good performance is Garrafeira Soares' relationship policy with its customers and suppliers. The commercial ties cultivated over the years under exemplary ethical behavior have allowed the creation of strong partnerships based on respect, trust, esteem and even friendship.
