Mr. Diego Zamora with his brother and sister, Angel and Josefina, and the support of Emilio Restoy, Josefina’s husband, gathered all they had and, with hard work and unlimited enthusiasm, started to bottle the liqueur themselves.
A humble beginning made of passion that started the history of Diego Zamora group. Within a few years, we became a market leader. The advertising industry in Spain was still emerging, but the investment in graphic and audiovisual media set a constant in our development. Besides, it helped to create some of the most memorable ads from that era.
Licor 43 is one of the most famous liqueurs in Spain and the world. At the beginning of the 20th century, a small distillery began to produce a liqueur made with the Mirabilis plant (common name for plants of the genus Mirabilis L., from the nictaginaceae family). In the 50's, the brand was already the leader in Spain, since it was one of the pioneers in the use of marketing techniques and promotion of drinks. So the dream of the creators came true, and in a short time - in the 60s - the brand was already marketed outside Spain and was appreciated in several countries. Today it is marketed in more than 55 different markets, which makes it the largest success of drinks made in Spain. The liquor is made according to a secret formula where only natural ingredients are used. There are exactly 43 ingredients in its composition, hence its name. The quality of the citrus that blooms in the south of the Mediterranean are the main responsible for the hot and seductive character of the liquor, with a touch of vanilla unforgettable. Whether drunk pure, with ice, or on the basis of a cocktail, liquor 43 is a guarantee of drinking a different and high quality product.
