At first glance, a light golden color and fine, lively bubbles, it contains a promise of pleasure. On the nose are aromas of blossoming flowers, ripe, dry and citrus fruits, as well as marzipan and gingerbread. The palate reveals flavors of hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar, gelatin and citrus, almonds, brioche and honey.

HARMONIZATION

The Krug Grande Cuvée lends itself to a wealth of culinary combinations, from the simplest to the most sophisticated, from aged Parmesan to turbot à la truffe. This Champagne can be enjoyed as an aperitif with Jabugo ham and mature comté or served with oysters, grilled prawns, Indian or Moroccan food, as well as desserts such as carrot cake, tarte tatin and cheesecake.

Krug Grande Cuvée was born from the dream of one man, Joseph Krug, to create the best Champagne he could offer, every year, regardless of annual variations in the climate. Every year, the House of Krug honors this dream with a new Édition de Krug Grande Cuvée: the most generous expression of Champagne. To bring the final creation to life, the wines of the year from meticulously selected plots were blended with reserve wines from another 10 years. The careful attention given to the vineyards and Krug's unique respect for the individual character of each plot allowed for the breadth of expression in this Edition. Altogether, reserve wines from the House's extensive library make up 42% of the final blend, bringing the breadth and roundness so essential to each Edition of the Krug Grande Cuvée.
