With its aromas of candied citrus, crisp green fruit, freshly baked bread and gasoline, and its full-bodied, layered and incisive palate, the 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur is in some sense (as is often the case) the most classically Chablisien of three Raveneau Grand Cru bottlings this year. Concentrated and chiseled, with a long, chalky finish, it is a magical young wine in production, just as it was in barrel.
