Beefeater is the most awarded gin in the world and is exported to over 100 countries. In addition, it is No. 1 in Spain and No .3 in the United States, first market for Premium Gins.Beefeater is the only international Premium Gin distilled in London, at the Kennington distilleries on the left bank of the Thames! The origins of Beefeater date back to 1820, in a distillery at Malborough Square, London. James Burrough, pharmacist and expert in medicinal recipes, creates a Gin with a strong and perfumed flavour: the Beefeater London Dry Gin.This drink had a huge success, but Burrough had difficulty in finding a name that, at the same time, would make reference to London (place of production), and give character to the Gin. He was inspired by the London Tower guards, since 1485, the Yeomen Warders also called Beefeaters (they ate a lot of beefs = Beef-eaters).Today, the Yeomen Warders still are the symbol of Beefeater and are present on the label of each bottle. With the consumption of Gin growing in recent years, Beefeater has decided to go a step further and create a Gin that reflected the culture and the city where it was born.Similar to Beefeater Dry Gin, Beefeater 24 is made in the heart of London, with the same manufacturing process in stills, the same thorough selection of ingredients, but with the addition of three more, to change the infusion of aromas in its original recipe. There is grapefruit and an infusion of two kinds of tea. Nothing could ever reflect more the London culture than the association between gin and tea. This infusion contains a mixture of eastern teas, such as green tea and sencha that provide Beefeater 24 with a unique character and enable infinite...ways of drinking it.
