MALONES WHISKEY COMPANY

Monday 17th of March 2014 saw the launch of Flaming Pig in Dublin’s iconic Liberties district , the historic home of Irish whiskey distillers.
?
The brainchild of Irish entrepreneurs Joey Shore & Flor Prendergast, Flaming Pig is inspired by the great whiskey fire of 1875 when 5000 barrels of whiskey and spices ignited and flowed onto the streets of the Liberties as far as the Coombe, endangering the lives of the many residents and their livestock. As the flames raged, it is said that the lone squeal of a “Flaming Pig” alerted the residents to the imminent danger.
?
We produce two whiskies, Flaming Pig Black Cask and Flaming Pig Spiced irish .
