Intense gold. Smooth and rounded, a universe of fruits such as apples, apricots and other white fruits. Strong presence of honey as well as chocolate and caramelized orange peels. Gourmet, an interesting duality. On one side flavors of decadent vanilla pastry and on the other notes of chocolate and citrus zests of tangerine and orange.
A blend of Single Malts from Yoichi and Miyagikyo and Single Grain from Miyagikyo in a smaller proportion. A whiskey that reflects all of Nikka's know-how, which unlike most Blends, incorporates a very generous proportion of Single Malts. It maintains the complex and distinct profile of the 12 year old, but with less bitterness and greater smoothness.
