Intense golden brown mahogany colour, with almost greenish reflections. It has a characteristic bouquet, with a good, complex nose, revealing an array of wood, dried fruit, confectionery, caramelised, floral tea, spices and honey. The attack is sweet and smooth, soft and full-bodied, with notes of aged cognac and lightly smoked woods. Long finish, with a certain freshness and warmth, with notes of spices, smoked nuts and treacle.

It is a superb accompaniment to dessert dishes, especially fruit, cakes, rich chocolate puddings and cheeses.
