Dark amber color with golden reflections, clear. Very complex and characteristic bouquet aroma. Lush with notes of toasted wood, dried fruit, vanilla-like sweet spices, saffron, ripe fruit chutney, dried leaves and tea. Very rich, smooth and balanced, medium sweet, with a very long finish leaving notes of chutney and resinous woods such as cedar.
Two centuries and seven generations producing excellent wines. Blandy’s distinguishes itself for being the only family, of all the original founders of the Madeira wine trade, which still owns and manages its own original wine company.
