Tawny Porto ages in oak casks. Vivid auburn color. Honeydew fruit nose, with aromas of dried fruit and striking notes of wood. In the mouth it is silky and velvety, showing itself round and with an intense presence of fruit. A wine of great balance and excellent character.
It goes perfectly with a wide variety of desserts where caramel, coffee, apricots and dried fruits predominate. Magnificently with caramelized walnuts, tiramisu, hazelnut meringue tart, brie cheeses and egg-based sweets.
Wine from the Douro Region. Cálem 3 Velhotes is a red and half sweet red wine, packed from a careful selection of the best tawnies and aged in the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. It has a ripe fruit aroma (blackcurrant and orange), with orange tones and an intense glow. The palate is elegant and round. This wine can be in the bottle for up to 3 years. It's great to accompany sweets. Excellent if served fresh with fruit salad, chocolate cake and creamy cheeses. Harmonious, fresh and persistent finish.
