The combination of herbaceous and floral aromas suggests resinous, eucalyptus and rock rose notes - a wild flower very common in the Douro. There are also aromas of black fruits that are later confirmed on the seductive palate, with their delicious opulent flavors of blackberries and black currants, with an aftertaste of dark chocolate and ground coffee. Concentrated, but at the same time gloriously silky, it reveals balance and elegance, conferred by the well-proportioned acidity. This special edition is reminiscent of the profile of a Graham's Vintage Port as a young man.
This exceptional port perfectly enhances the end of a meal, whether served alone, with dark chocolate desserts or with cheese.
Six Grapes "Special Vila Velha Edition" is a limited edition sourced exclusively from the best plots of Quinta da Vila Velha - one of the four estates in the Douro that originates third generation Port wines, James Symington, in 1987. For three decades, he dedicated himself body and soul to the restoration of the property, which today comprises 145 hectares, 55 of which are planted with vines. Thanks to its privileged position on the south bank of the Douro River, Vila Velha produces well-structured and balanced wines that form essential components of Graham’s Vintage Ports.
