A brick red color with medium depth and light orange rim. The aromas of hazelnuts, tobacco and spices, coming from very old wine barrels, complement the notes of figs, candied cherries and dried apricots. In the mouth it is structured, with a delicate, complex and persistent finish.
Goes well with dried fruits and jams. Desserts with egg custard, coffee or vanilla and almond tart. As an aperitif, it should be served chilled.
The vintages are single year Tawny Ports, aged in cask for a minimum of seven years before being bottled. Colheita is delicious at the end of a meal with desserts and nuts or as an aperitif with, for example, foie gras.
