The Cartuxa brand is the principal activity of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation and the umbrella brand of the Cartuxa Winery, Cartuxa Olive Mill and Cartuxa Wine Tourism. The logo identifies wines such as Vinea, EA, Foral de Évora, Cartuxa, Scala Coeli and the legendary Pêra-Manca, as well as the olive oils Álamos, EA and Cartuxa Gourmet.

Cartuxa red is a blend of Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet,Trincadeira and Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in theEugénio de Almeida Foundation vineyards. When the grapesare judged to be perfectly matured, they are carefullypicked and brought into the winery for de-stalking, gentlecrushing and fermentation in temperature controlled steelvats. There follows an extended maceration periodfollowed by maturation in vats and barrels for 12 months.The wine is aged in bottle for 12 months prior to release.
