Deep ruby color. Intense and highly complex aroma, with notes of spices, pepper, truffles and sous-bois, balsamic, resin, cedar, tobacco box and slightly minty, ripe black fruits, stony and some cocoa, the result of good maturation. In the mouth it has an excellent volume, lively acidity, firm tannins, black fruits and spices, with an extremely long and complex finish.
Ideal to accompany cheeses, red meat and game dishes.
Reserva Especial 2014 is a magnificent red wine from the Douro region. It is a classic, complex and rich wine, which reflects the charisma and remarkable maturity only available to some Douro wines. This is only the 18th harvest of a wine that was created by Casa Ferreirinha in 1960.
