A ruby colour with slight tints of brick. An aroma with intense notes of truffles and forest floor, pepper and ginger, alongside hints of liquorice, touches of minerality and a well-integrated wood element. On the palate, the wine has good volume, round tannins, a lively acidity and further spicy notes (of black pepper and peppers) that invite an extremely elegant finish.
This wine pairs wonderfully with cheeses, red meat dishes and game.
Casa Ferreirinha has launched a range of "specialities" to highlight the diverse qualities of its "terroirs", as well as the exuberance of the different grape varieties that are cultivated in the demarcated Douro region.
