This wine has a ruby red color. Intense, complex and elegant wine with a typical aroma of the variety, wild black fruit, floral nuances and touches of forest and shrubs giving freshness. The wood notes are very well combined, giving the set complexity. In the mouth it is harmonious and balanced, with soft tannin giving structure and strength to the wine. There are also aromas of sous bois, forest and fruit, in a long finish.
It is a wine that invites you to the table, but is also very versatile. I recommend it to be drunk with an octopus à lagareiro or a pepper steak.
Quinta dos Carvalhais Touriga Nacional is a monovarietal wine, which presents itself as an excellent example of the noblest of Dão's red varieties, being released only in years of exceptional quality. Quinta dos Carvalhais represents the best of Dão.
