An elegant red wine, fresh and delicate, it shows an open cherry-like colour. Rich and remarkably complex on the nose, with wild berries and notes of fine spices (black pepper) enhanced by its maturing in wood barrels for 15 months. Fresh in the mouth, with great vibrant acidity, its finish is impressively elegant and subtle.

Located near Pinhão, on the right bank of the Douro, Quinta da Boavista has a spectacular view over the river. It is one of the most iconic properties in the demarcated region, known not only for its connection to Barão de Forrester, but also for its 36 hectares of high quality vineyards. Every year the winemaking team decides to bottle single-varietal wines, from grape varieties that stood out that year. In 2021, one of the varieties selected was Donzelinho red, a variety with a well-established identity in terms of gastronomic profile. With its own characteristics, Donzelinho offers wines that are more alcoholic and have high acidity, contrasting with a lighter color.
