The color is open and of medium concentration. On the nose, rich in wild berries, notes of graphite, spices and leather stand out with a very well integrated wood. In the mouth it is young with nerve, acidity and structure. The finish is spicy and persistent.

Vertente is a wine of great elegance and complexity, which masterfully combines the fruit and concentration of wines from the Douro with the freshness of Niepoort wines. The Vertente, as its name implies, is a way of seeing the Douro, the grapes come from all the terroirs of the Douro. where we work, mostly from old vines aged between 50 and 80 years, with the blend traditional variety.
