THE TRADITION OF INNOVATING
João Pato began to bottle wine from his vineyards in 1970, becoming the first bottling producer in the region of Bairrada, after its clearing. His son Luis Pato inherited his pioneering and incoformist spirit, and since the advent of 1980 he took over the farm.
The saga of the "Vinhas Velhas" began with a red wine in 1988. Baga was naturally chosen, and the clay-limestone soil was its ally in old vines whose production was reduced by the “weight” of age. It is a classic Bairrada red with the elegance that only Luís can give his wines.
