Sociedade Agrícola de Pias was founded in 1973 by José Veiga Margaça, a merchant from Torres Vedras who found in this small parish the potential to settle down and produce original, high-quality wines. His passion for the land and deep knowledge and respect for the Alentejo allowed him to pioneer, for decades, new forms of production and create wines that honored the unique terroir of Pias.
