Shows a violet color. Nose with enormous complexity, very expressive in notes of red fruits, some spices, tobacco leaves and a very fresh floral side. The purity of aromas and its enormous freshness are impressive. In the mouth, it is very fine, complex and of enormous precision. Very polished and with excellent acidity, it shows very delicate tannins. Refreshing aftertaste, very long and thin, it grows as you taste it.

Serves well with roast lamb, sausage dishes, baked cod or vegetarian dishes with legumes.

Poeirinho is a wine produced only with grapes from our vineyards at Quinta de Baixo, where we practice organic viticulture, with SATIVA certification. Poeirinho, whose name is the old designation of the Baga variety, is a tribute to the great Bahian wines of the past, which were light in color and alcohol content, but which had enormous aging potential. Dirk Niepoort's great passion for this variety and for the fantastic terroir of Bairrada, has made him, over the last few years, look for small plots of Baga, with very old vines, scattered around the Cantanhede area.
