Quinta Vale D. Maria Vinhas Velhas is a wine with rich aromas of red fruit, such as blackberry and ripe cherry, along with floral notes of violet and rock rose. It has an elegant and concentrated structure, juicy on the palate, balanced and fresh, with a remarkably persistent finish. It is a Douro classic in all its splendour, which has earned scores from the world's most renowned critics that reflect its extraordinary quality.
A blend of 41 different grape varieties, including, among others, Rufete, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Francisca, Sousão, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and many others typical of the Douro, coming from 10 hectares of old vineyards of the Quinva Vale D.Maria. The vines are over 60 years old, with South, Southwest, East and West exposure.
