Quinta da Boavista has been recognized since the first demarcation of the Douro wine region, dating back to 1756. The presence of Quinta da Boavista is also documented on the famous maps of Joseph James Forrester, from the 19th century. Located in the Cima-Corgo sub-region, close to Pinhão, on the right bank of the Douro, and with one of the best views over the river, Quinta da Boavista has 36 hectares of high quality vineyards, some of them old vines planted with native varieties.
