Intense ruby color. Fruity aroma and flavor with nuances of intense red fruits and dark chocolate. In the mouth it is a powerful but elegant wine, balanced, very full-bodied with a persistent aftertaste.
It goes well with red meat dishes as well as game and cheese.
Bacalhôa Baga is born in an ideal terroir for the Baga variety (clay-limestone soils and western exposure). In the 2017 harvest, slow maturation was achieved, with the year progressing in the best possible way - sunny but without too much heat and despite some precipitation during the beginning of the harvest, we managed to obtain very ripe and healthy fruit. This was followed by traditional vinification with cold pre-fermentative maceration and lengthy cuvaison, which resulted in an intense wine with a very elegant color, aroma and flavor.
