The austerity of the grape variety is noticeable in the mouth, but at the same time, we are seduced by a somewhat contemporary sophistication that, combined with centenary old vines, creates a blend that is a reference in the Portuguese Douro: a wine full of minerality, blue fruits, rich in spicy notes, with a very firm structure and a very narrow mouth. The high concentration, density and depth expresses its origin well.
It was at Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo that the first study for monovarietal planting in the Douro region was carried out. best sun exposures for the study of planting three varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Plot 28 planted with the Tinta Roriz variety, comprising 2650 feet and a slope of 25, is located at an altitude between 205 and 210 meters. This variety demonstrates the winemaking challenge and the human persistence in preserving an ancient and authentic Douro. The austerity of the variety is notorious in the mouth, but at the same time, we are seduced by a somewhat contemporary sophistication that, combined with the centenary vine, gives rise to a blend that reveals a Reference in the Portuguese Douro, a wine full of minerality, blue fruits, rich in spicy notes with a firm structure and a very narrow mouth.
