Unique, this blend of highly concentrated Touriga Nacional, combined with centenary old vines, results in a wine with a very elegant, almost feminine profile, contrasting with an intense structure of succulent tannins of great precision. The schist texture, of high gravity, the slick profile and the purple color well reflect the nature of the Touriga Nacional variety.
It was at Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo that the first study for monovarietal planting in the Douro region was carried out. best sun exposures for the study of planting three varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Plot 29 planted with the Touriga Nacional variety, comprising 3300 feet and a slope of 20, is located at an altitude between 170 and 205 meters. It represents a unique specimen and is a fundamental piece in the history of Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo in its maximum expression of terroir. A true reference in the Douro that, together with the centenary vine, results in a wine with a very elegant profile, almost feminine, contrasting with an intense structure of juicy tannins of enormous precision. The high gravity schist texture, the sapling profile and the purple color reflect the nature of the Touriga Nacional variety.
