Record of great freshness reflecting the cycle of the year's fresh vineyard. Floral fragrance with roses, but also thyme and delicate notes of forest floor and a light touch of pine resin. Enormous breadth in the mouth, fully filling the palate with a rich and seductive texture where black fruits and dark chocolate stand out. Fine tannins highlight the grand structure whose balance testifies to the good acidity that the mild year provided. Long and complex finish, guided by suggestions of tea and tobacco leaf
Touriga Franca, from the vineyard plots at the top of Vale da Teja and Touriga Nacional, originating from the Quinta Nova vineyards, located at around 450 meters above sea level, constitute the pillars of the Quinta do Vesúvio DOC Douro plot every year. . The Quinta Nova vineyard was acquired by Dª Antónia Adelaide Ferreira in the mid-19th century, who could not have imagined that these high-altitude vineyards would prove to be so valuable for the property's red wines at the beginning of the 21st century.
