Redoma tinto is Niepoort’s original Douro wine, first released in 1991. It is like Douro: "extreme, with a rigorous character". Old north-facing vineyards from Quinta de Nápoles and Pinhão Valley form the basis of Redoma. Its main varieties are Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca.

The Redoma Tinto 2019 reflects all the elegance, structure and acidity that a region with the Douro’s range has to offer. Deep ruby red in appearance, the wine shows violet glints when swirled in the glass. The delicate bouquet releases notes of blossoms and red fruit such as cherry, as well as minty and smoky nuances which contribute to the wine’s complexity and character. The palate offers good volume, roundness, spice and precision, all blended together with the utmost harmony. A long finish with persistent acidity lend this Redoma impressive longevity.
