Redoma Red reflects all the elegance, structure and acidity that only a region the size of the Douro can express. The color is ruby, concentrated and when stirred in the glass, violet hints appear. The nose is delicate, with floral notes, red fruits such as cherries, menthol nuances and a smoke that gives it complexity and character. In the mouth it has volume, it is round and spicy, precise and extremely balanced. It finishes long and with an acidity that persists and gives it longevity.
Redoma tinto is Niepoort’s original Douro wine, first released in 1991. It is like Douro: "extreme, with a rigorous character". Old north-facing vineyards from Quinta de Nápoles and Pinhão Valley form the basis of Redoma. Its main varieties are Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca.
