Open color, garnet, very intense nose, lots of personality, aromas of wild strawberry acid, notes of earth, truffle with a breeze of iodine and sea. In the mouth attack medium body, muto textured, salt, acidity always present, repeats the iodine and earth.
A red in elegance, with acidity, which is halfway between complex fish dishes and elegant meat dishes where acidity is lacking and where iodine and sea, or earth and truffle are dominant notes.
Saborinho (also known as Tinta Negra or Molar de Colares) is one of the traditional red varieties of these islands that has almost disappeared from the vineyards. Planted in the cracks of rocks, in a terroir unique in the world, in the middle of the ocean, the vines are by the sea "where you can hear the singing of the crab", as it is here that there is more sun and heat. This proximity, sometimes of a few meters, makes it necessary to protect the vineyard from the strong, saline winds of the Atlantic through stone walls (corrals) built by Man. This is an edition of just 710 bottles that tests the potential of this variety. The result? A fresh red, open in color, iodized, saline, complex and with the flavor of something that could only have been born at sea.
