Ruby open color. Intense nose, notes of fresh crushed strawberry, some vegetable. Fresh, textured attack, good acidity, the aromas on the nose are repeated. Great persistence.
Very elegant and fresh, excellent for transitioning fish and meat, to more complex fish and light meats.
The Tinta Negra variety is part of the ancient vines of the island of Madeira, and is still the basis for the wines that made this island famous. Outside Madeira Island, it is a rare variety that is only found in regions where the sea is close by, earning another name such as Molar in Colares or Saborinho in the Azores. “Villões” is the nickname that Porto-Santenses give to Madeirans, which comes from the name vila (city) that has gained a double connotation. This is our Black Ink of Villains.
