Medium ruby ??color. Intense and clean nose. Sweet aromas of wild fruits, such as blackberry and blackcurrant, ripe red fruit, from which sour cherry stands out and a herbaceous side with notes of green peppers, typical of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, further increasing its complexity. Aging for 12 months in high quality American and French oak barrels, gave it notes of chocolate, coconut and sweet spices. On the palate it shows a remarkable balance between intensity and smoothness. It has a high flavor intensity and an above-average body and alcohol and a smoothness marked by a delicate, polished tannin and a sensation of freshness conferred by its excellent acidity. The warmer aromas of spices and chocolate linger with the tasting. It ends smooth, long and inviting to new proof.
A wine that is born for the table. The duality that it presents on the palate, with a soft tannin and strong aromas, make this wine an excellent accompaniment to intense slow cooking dishes. The typical Alentejo lamb stew, pork seasoned with red pepper sauce in a wood-fired oven or a Portuguese stew are excellent gastronomic suggestions for Família Margaça Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of caramelized onions with crispy oven-baked duck breast, pasta dishes with tomato, fresh basil and some dried fruits, such as roasted almonds, and cheese boards, made with fresh figs and fruit, are also in the range of harmonizations that combine with our Cabernet Sauvignon.
