Open ruby-pink color. Intense nose, notes of crushed fresh strawberry, some vegetable. Fresh, crunchy attack, present acidity, with excellent salinity. Great persistence.
Rosé fresh, elegant and saline like few others. Ideal partner for fish dishes, seafood and salads. It has volume and structure for white meat dishes. Perfect for Indian, Thai and Sushi food.
This Rosé is produced from the Tinta Negra variety. The Tinta Negra variety is part of the ancient strains of the Madeiran islands, and is still the basis for the wines that made this island famous. Outside the Madeiran islands, it is a rare variety that is only found in regions where the sea is close by, gaining another name such as Molar in the Colares region or Saborinho in the Azores region. However, it should not be confused with Negra Mole from the Algarve, as it is a different variety. Its role in the past seems to have been to "blunt" white wines and give them a certain golden appearance appreciated at the time. Here, we test the potential of this variety in Rosé.
