QUINTA DE AZEVEDO

In 1980, Sogrape Vinhos acquires the Honra de Azevedo, located in the parish of Lama, Barcelos, one of the oldest and most magnificent Portuguese plots, originating in the eleventh century. In order to be transformed into the prestigious space for the reception of customers and the construction of a production center in the Vinho Verde Region, representing the development of a significant presence of Sogrape Vinhos in this region, Solar and Quinta have benefited for some of four years of meticulous works of restoration, requalification and decoration at the same time that vineyards were planted. At the time, Fernando Guedes directed the planting of the vineyards, as well as the installation of a modern wine-making center, with excellent conditions to produce Greens that are increasingly fresh and elegant, corresponding to the dominant taste of consumers. Currently, Alvarinho and Loureiro are planted grape varieties, occupying more than 30 hectares.

Citrine yellow colour, with sparkling appearance. Its aroma has notes of ripe lime peel, a fresh vegetable aspect and hints of yellow pulp fruits, such as peach and pineapple in syrup. In the mouth, it is dominated by an acidic texture, these two components being perfectly integrated and contributing decisively to the balance of the wine. The finish is fresh, gastronomic and persistent.

A wine of gastronomic character due to its profile of ripe fruit and integrated acidity. It is creamy on the palate, making it an excellent accompaniment for fish and seafood dishes, rich salads and Asian flavours.
