Brilliant straw yellow in colour, the result of careful maturation. Big yet lean, with great breadth of flavour. The bright acidity is well balanced by the richness of the tertiary aromas and the oaky notes from the years it has spent in barrel. This is a wine of extraordinary volume. With a refreshing finish, it is elegant, harmonious and memorable.
ENJOY
Quinta dos Carvalhais Branco Especial goes extremely well with a great variety of dishes. It can accompany simply grilled fish, more complex fish dishes or bacalhau, but also game, red meat dishes, roast kid or even a risotto of wild mushrooms.
Branco Especial, a non-vintage white wine, is a fine example of how the Dão region is supremely capable of producing great white wines with ageing potential.
