Yellow color with golden hues. Aromatically clean, restrained and engaging. True to the typical profile of the chosen grape variety for this Reserva, showing aromas of tropical and citrus fruit, where the papaya and tangerine stand out, followed by light notes of vanilla and white pepper, making proof of the 6-month aging in French oak barrique. On the palate it’s rich, with an impressive creaminess and a balanced acidity, allowing for the alcohol to stand out, so characteristic of the warm climate wine. Without ever overshadowing the fruit, caramel and toffee nuances add complexity, making the wine even more interesting and gastronomic. Long and silky finish, providing a very pleasurable taste.
Due to its slightly oaky character and full-body mouthfeel the Família Margaça Reserva is a highly recommended to pair rich fish or octopus and squid courses. The Portuguese traditional codfish or octopus, in intense sauces or olive oil based recipes, will be the perfect food pairing. Risk matching this wine with poultry meat with honey and fresh herbs or white sauce pastas and you will be gladly surprised. On a more simple approach pair our White Reserva with soft paste cheese like Brie or Chevre
