The company was founded by Joaquim Mascarenhas Fiuza which brought the company into the 21st century. In 1985, there was a partnership between the Fiuza Family and the internationally acclaimed Australian winemaker, Peter Bright. Pioneer in studying international varieties in Portuguese soil, the company developed a range of single variety wines. Nowadays, the portfolio also has some blend wines, creating truly unique wines. Fiuza produces its’ wines with grapes from their own estates, grown in clay-limestone types of soil, and harvested manually and mechanically, ensuring high quality wines.
