This wine is based only on grapes from the caste Viosinho. Fermented and staggered in new Portuguese oak barrels, it was intended to create a guard white that would last in time. With the structure and complexity it presents, this is a wine with enormous potential of aging, that can be consumed until enough years after its harvest.

All the wines from Lavradores de Feitoria - from the great consumption to the great guard - are balanced, elegant and oriented to the good gastronomy, but always with a stamp of the character of the Douro. One should expect, and demand, the strong personality of each brand as an expression of terroir, concept, or even fantasy. At Lavradores de Feitoria we produce batch wines and what we call terroir wines. The first - under the brands Lavradores de Feitoria, Gadiva, Cheda and Três Bagos - are made from a rigorous selection of the grapes of the several farms and reveal the complexity, the wealth and the tradition of lot of the Douro wines. The terroir wines, which include the brands Meruge and Quinta da Costa das Aguaneiras, are intended to reflect the character and individuality of a particular vineyard plot.
