A citrine yellow colour with golden tints. On the nose, this wine has an aroma of yellow-pulped fruit, particularly of ripe nectarines, and great aromatic complexity courtesy if its cask-ageing. Full-bodied on the palate, with good volume, it is perfectly balanced by an Atlantic acidity. There are further aromas from the wine's maturation in oak barrels, and it possesses a persistent finish.

The Morgado de Santa Catherina, as a white wine on watch has a great structure and volume, as well as a lively and striking acidity, so we recommend dishes with some intensity, such as roasted fish of elaborate confection, but also some meats with some fat , of which roast kid can be an example. House also wonderfully with cheeses, mainly with the most intense ones like S. Jorge or blue cheeses, among others.
