This Redoma is an excellent example of the Douro's potential for making fresh, direct and uncomplicated whites, not forgetting the characteristic complexity of the old vines, terroir and micaschist soils of the Douro. On the nose it is fresh and delicate. Its complexity and character is revealed in a fruity but discreet profile with hints of citrus and pineapple, floral, herbaceous and hazelnut nuances. In the mouth it is structured with an excellent acidity. The finish is dry and spicy. It is a consensual Douro white, extremely balanced and with aging potential.
GASTRONOMY
Accompanying suggestion: Oysters, fish in the oven, poultry and white meat. Vegetarian suggestions: dishes with tubers (turnips, sweet potatoes, beets), Caesar salad and dishes with cheese.
Redoma Branco grapes come from old vines on the right bank of the Douro River, located at an altitude that varies between 400 and 600 meters. In these vineyards, the Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho and Gouveio grape varieties predominate. Its micaschist soils give rise to wines with a lot of minerality, delicate and with great freshness.
