"A 23-year-old winemaker and an English winemaker could only go wrong." Portuguese winemaker António Maçanita and English consultant and winemaker David Booth met in early 2004. Over the next few months, Antonio was already learning viticulture with David and a great friendship developed. The next step would be to make wine. First wine, first success, with the Alentejo Trophy at the International Wine Challenge, awarded for the second time in 22 years of competition. Fitapreta produces wines that reflect the character of our region, but also what we want it to be. We are so close to deepening our culture and our local castes as we are in changing the world with new challenges, new paths and new blends. We produce each of our wines with the absolute sense of responsibility that we have to love them. And we hope they can share our aesthetics for wine and who knows ... for life.

Bright citrus yellow, intense floral nose, with hints of tea, bergamot and iodine. Rich full attack, with a touch of iodine and salt.

GASTRONOMY

Fresh, with good acidity and some greasiness, and a large saline component. It works with grilled fish, salads and fresh seafood.

Today it is being gradually replanted which gives hope. This wine demonstrates the potential of this unique variety, in this "extreme" volcanic terroir, in a pure, mineral, and saline wine... in the hope that it will contaminate others to keep it alive.
