Citrine yellow color with hints of straw, aroma of iodine, salt, linden, pitanga. In the mouth dense attack, very concentrated, vibrant acidity that lasts until the end of the tasting. Then salt, salt, salt and iodine, it's a wine that could only have been born in the sea.

A wine born in the sea, ready to pair with shellfish, yellowish fish (red mullet, sea roe, sea urchins) but with a density and concentration to work with white meats with burnt fat, such as a good suckling pig or even a pork belly .

On this island, for more than 500 years, vines have been planted in the crevices of the volcanic rock, just a few meters from the sea. But it is even earlier, in 1465, the arrival of Joss Hurtere, Captain Donatory of Pico and Fayal, who invited Joss Van Aard to the Azores. The Aards (Portuguese translation “da Terra”) became one of the most important vineyard owners on the island, with some of the best plots facing the sea, in 1os Jeirões. This is one of the plots on the sea front, in 1os Jeirões, which was sold by the family in 1923, replanted by the Cardozos in 1924 and which is now in our hands.
