From the beginning of the 20th century to the present day, the properties that grow the high-quality wheat used in the production of the spirit of Stolichnaya, have been located in the region of Tambov, in Russia, where its ultra-modern distillery is also located - Talvis. The spirit of Stolichnaya is carefully distilled only three times, so as to maintain the rich character of Russian wheat. It is in the magnificent Latvijas Balzams - a cathedral to vodka production built by the Czar in 1901, in Latvia - that the process of production of Stolichnaya vodka is concluded. The spirit of Stolichanya is filtered 4 times, first through quartz sand and then through the charcoal made from Russian birch wood. Finally, it is blended with pure spring water, resulting in a vodka of exceptional quality, which is also bottled in Latvijas Balzams and subsequently sent to various countries around the world.
