INDUSTRIAS PAMPERO C.A.Industrias Pampero, C.A. is a Venezuelan rum distiller, and a subsidiary of Diageo. It was founded in 1938 and produces a range of rums, including a white rum Pampero Blanco (used to make cocktails), an aged rum Pampero Especial (a blend of dark Venezuelan rums aged for two years in oak casks), and an aged rum Pampero Aniversario (sold in a brown leather pouch).

This name came from the fusion of two Venezuelan words "pampa", the typical South American plains where cattle graze that is controlled by the "Llaneros". This rum that began to be produced in 1938 was soon a tremendous and tasty success. Alejandro Hernandez, founder of the company, had a lot of claw, a spirit and a way of thinking very advanced for his time. One proof of this enterprising spirit was that Alejandro managed to take the Pamper Runs to all of Venezuela despite all the difficulties of distribution and marketing. Alejandro's pioneering spirit and vision made the quality standards established by him adopted and became mandatory for all Venezuelan rums, which contributed to become one of the only three official products of this country
